I’ve just updated the database so it’s ready for the new school year. A big part of this was adding Mrs. Ward as the administrator to all the sixth grade students’ blogs. It looks like things are working, but if you see any problems, leave a comment or send me a message by going to the Help page.
You may also see a message when you log in. This will give you news when I plan to update things and when your blog may be unavailable. It’s also a good idea NOT to update your blog when I’m doing an update because whatever posts or comments you add might get lost, so pay attention to those. I’ll also let you know when I’m done, so you can resume blogging.
Yes, they’re kind of annoying because you can’t get rid of the messages, but you can use the fullscreen button and then you won’t see it when you’re typing. I’ll take away the message about 24 hours after I’m done with the process.

Well, I just got done upgrading the Edgemere Blogs website to WordPress MU 2.6. It’s not a huge change, but you’ll see a few changes here and there.
The biggest change I’ve seen is that you can now log-in with the WordPress iPhone app. That’s right I’m typing this from my iPod Touch and boy, is it taking a long time!
A couple of other changes: You’ll now see revisions at the bottom of post pages so you can see your changes and revert to an earlier version if you wish. In Firefox, you’ll see a turbo link in the upper right corner. If you click that, you’ll be prompted to install Google Gears. That’s supposed to speed up the admin side of your blog. It’s not for public computers though, so we won’t be using that in school. I think the photo gallery has been improved as well.
As with any upgrade, let me know if you see anything strange with your site.
