I Look Up To…

A hero is someone you look up to, someone you want to be like, and someone who makes you feel good about yourself. Heroes don’t have to be famous, they can be every day people from age 8 to 80. Anyone can be a hero. One of my heroes is my friend Mikey. Mikey is an 8th grader who I have known as long as I can remember. We take karate together.

A hero is someone you look up to. I look up to Mikey because he has a great personality. He is quiet and polite, but speaks his mind when he needs to.  Mikey is nice and funny. He makes me laugh.

A hero is someone you want to be like. I want to be like Mikey because he is a black belt in karate, which is one of my goals. He is such a hard worker. He doesn’t complain very often.

A hero is someone who makes you feel good about yourself. Mikey makes me feel good about myself by giving me advice during karate. One day we were sparring and I was sparring against him. Mikey could have kicked my you-know-what…but he lightened up on on me and gave me some ideas about how to spar better. His words made me feel more confidant.

Heroes don’t have to be famous. Mikey isn’t famous. He’s an every day person between the ages of 8 to 80. Mikey is my friend. Mikey is my hero.
