On a hot morning I woke up to go to the bathroom. After I had done my business and washed my hands, I slumped to the kitchen but then something flew over me. I followed the noise of flopping wings and saw a scared-out-of its-feathers, helpless bird. It flew around and around until it finally settled down. “Mom!” I yelled. She came thumping out of the hallway. “What the!” Mom exclaimed. We tried to get it out but finally scared it out of the house. “I hope we don’t find a nest,” I said.
Now that I am ten years old way past my toddler years, I laid down next to my mom and she started telling me the story of when I was born. She told me that she had a deep and piercing fear that I would not make it because of my hardly known deceased who came to early and had not lasted long. She continued and had told me that she had made a prayer asking for a sign, and then it started snowing. Now that I am ten I’ve had a loving for snow before I heard this story. It always feels like a very strong and bitter taste of deja vu.
Fourth grade was awesome, I learned things that I had no idea what they were and became more mature. I had the same teacher because the principal wanted her to become a 4th grade teacher but she said no because she had her daughter in her class and she thought that she shouldn’t because Carrie all ready sees her 24/7. Ms. Hulburt is a great teacher and is not one of those teachers who are not fun and is really really strict, Ms. Hulburt is a funny teacher and doesn’t mind a little laughter. Well she taught us well in writing and math, writing was a hardy for me but I got a 100 and a 3, math was a easy one for me, so my score was 98. Through 4th grade I have improved in reading and my score was a 95. I have also pushed myself like when I read White Fang. Well I have enjoyed 4th grade and cant wait till 5th grade.
“Waw, Waw?” THUD! I fell off the bed like a dufus and landed on my hands and my stomach. I was laying on my bed with my cat on my legs which meant I kinda flung her across the room. Any way, I got up and walked around the house then checked all of the rooms to see if I had woken up anyone. After that I laid on my bed and scrunched up in a little ball and right then I started to tilt to the right so I grabbed the bed and said in a whisper, ” I have got to start sleeping on the other side.”
At P.E at school there were no footballs, no more basketballs, and I didn’t want to play jump rope. So I wondered around in search of something to do. Then I saw my friends Abel, Frankie, Sarah, Naomi, Josh, Austin, and Belle playing kickball. Now, I’m mostly into football and basketball but I decided to play anyway.
“Can I play?” I asked Frankie.
“Sure, come on!” he replied.
So I got in the back of the line and waited my turn. When it came to my turn, I stepped two steps back and put my right leg in position. When Abel rolled the ball I swung my leg and… BOOM! the ball went flying like a bomb.
I ran in the base order then when Austin threw the ball at me I jumped forward and the ball went behind me and I made a home run. The next time I did the same thing and when it was time .to line up I said to myself, “I rock!” That day changed my opinion about kickball. Now I actually wanna play it more often.
