WHOO! The edgermere girls basket-ball team won our first game! The score was 26 (roadrunners) to 6 (dolphins). Yea we beat them by 20 points!

I was scared to go on the court at first but them they got me MAD so I fouled once then I ‘accidentally’ tripped #13. But she deserved it because she called Summer a b!%$&. That PUNK! Dezerae was making most of the 0f shots but then she fell after being pushed. What a klutz. Not to be mean but it was funny!    I kept on traveling though (kinda a lot). Chritine did a lot of double  dribbling (more than my traveling). Summer let the other team get the ball. Sarah also shot the ball straight up and the other team got it. The Dolphins gave us 2 points because they didn’t know which basket was theirs.

So we made a few mistakes! ALL of them were accidents. SO WHAT! We won they didn’t!

After 2 weeks in the new schedule I feel like reading has overthrown writing. Maybe it is because Ms. Baker is my teacher and not Ms. Ward. I also miss Ms. Ward being one of my teachers. I wish we could go back to our old schedule but that is not happening any time soon.

The thing I like about our new schedule is that we do get a lot of reading done, but that’s not good when it comes to writing. I also like having Ms. Baker for another hour.  Do you like the change? Or do you miss the good ol days? 

This Sunday was the first day of February and the day of the 43rd Superbowl! I was really excited about it and I was hoping the Pittsburgh Steelers would win. I was happy when the Steelers scored the first touchdown! But when the Arizona Cardinals scored I started to freak out. San Antonio Holmes was my favorite player that night because he was playing awesome. But Mostly because he scored the winning touchdown in the LAST 3 MINUETS! That right there was just amazing and really shocking. My cousin Alec was going for the Cardinals and told me a lot can happen in 3 minuets. He jinxed himself though by saying that. Then I started screaming when the game was over and the Steelers won the 43rd Superbowl.  (Right now they are better than the Cowboys because they have won 6 Super bowls. YES!)

Recently our teachers decided that they wanted to change the way our schedule works; they combined Writing and Reading into 1…. Language Arts. I like the way it works, kind of. Ms. Baker is an awesome teacher but      Ms. Ward was my favorite. She was strict but she was nice and fun.

The first day of the change was kind of weird but it was fun to do something new. Ms. Baker had to lay out the rules and tell us about the change and why they changed it. Right now were reading a book called The Cay. So far it’s okay but nothing to fascinating for me.

I think the change will be good for the kids and the teachers. It might ease our stress and it will help the teachers get more done. Hopefully I’m right.

What if the sun stopped shining; what would happen to earth and it’s resources? Well some of our renewable resources wouldn’t be renewed. Trees are a renewable resource. Trees need the sun to live and they need the sun to make glucose (the sugary food made by photosynthesis). We need trees to breathe and to create furnishings, paper, floorings, ect. for our homes and everyday living.Trees our our most important renewable resource.Fresh water is also very important. We need water to drink, shower, swim, ect. Water also needs the sun to go through the water cycle. I hope the sun never stops shining but these are the possibilities.

Yes I know 8 isn’t Kobe’s basketball number now but it was his number when I saw him play for the first time ever. K.B. has been my basketball inspiration since my dad showed me the NBA. I’ve always liked the LA Lakers too but only because K.B. has always been on the team.

Kobe inspired me to be in sports (basketball obviously) by showing the love he had in the game. He also played AMAZING and I wanted to be just as good.   Of course my dad only encouraged me to play. Then I met Summer.

Summer became my best friend in 1st grade and told me about the basketball team she was in… So I asked my mom if I could join and then I became a Dragon. It was so much fun because we were in a city league and kicked boys’ butts!!! Only because there weren’t a lot girl teams back then. So who is or was your inspiration? Comment me!

Our school food is DISGUSTING! It didn’t surprise me that our district failed the food test awhile ago. I wish our cooks could cook something more APPETIZING! I don’t want to be mean but we should have at least have good food! Our cooks should give us food that is healthy food but more TASTY! We should also have more of a variety of lunch. Yes I know that we can choose salad sometimes but thats not so great either! The ONLY thing that’s good is when it’s THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS! Two days of yummy food is not enough!

We should also shouldn’t have to pay MORE that $1.00 for food that isn’t even good. It’s RIDICULOUS!  Our school does need the money but they should lower it even if it’s$0.25 less. Yes we can bring our own lunch and NOT pay but time is tickin and there isn’t a lot of it  to make lunch.

GIVE US BETTER SCHOOL FOOD!!!

I love most of Aerosmith’s music! My favorite is Dream On because it tells an important messege to all who hear it. It says to keep on dreaming on what you believe in and what you want. Another 2 favorites of mine are Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion. Aerosmith is a pretty old band but their music is still very famous.

My favorite band-member in Aerosmith is Joe Perry, the guitarist. He is awesome at his solos and writes amazing music. Most of my friends don’t like them but I don’t care they are still 1 of my favorite rockbands (so is Metallica). For all you Aerosmith lovers comment me on your favorite songs, members, ect. Bye. 

“Yes Christmas is fun because Santa comes and everyone gets what they want. It kinda bugs me when some kids just talk about how many presents they’re getting or, how they always get what they want. Yes I know I shouldn’t be talking because I’ve done those things too. But Christmas is really about spending time with your family. Hobos are glad if they can survive each day,” Shotzy told all 5 off her brothers and sisters. “Hey where’s Dominic?” Shotzy asked. She spotted her 8 year old younger brother, who was sneaking like a spy, going up the stairs. As soon as Shotzy yelled out his name he ran like a cheetah up the stairs and into his room.

Shotzy, who tip-toed up the stairs as quiet as a mouse, didn’t make a sound so she cold trick Dominic into thinking she wasn’t there. He walked out of his room and ran into Shotzy’s arms. “why did you run out of the living room like that Dom?” Shotzy questioned.

“Well after you telling us what Christmas is about I felt like a stupid, sad, mean, selfish boy,” Dominic admitted.

“Your not! But just be thankful for all of the things you get. Okay, Dom?”Shotzy reasured him.

“K I’ll say thanks everyday for what I do and don’t have,” Dominic said happily.

With him saying that Shotzy hugged her little brother and they went to bed ( saying thanks of course ).

Love (n)- 1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for someone. 2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection.

Love is a powerful magic known to man. Most people want it but can’t find it. Others have looked and found their soul mate. Love is something that can be good or bad. Love has no definition even though many dictionaries have love in the book. Love is an untamed fire waiting to soothe or hurt one’s life. Love isn’t alive in any way but it still hurts.

When I say ‘hurts’ I mean that love can turn your whole life around in a heartbeat. When a loved one dies some go insane. They start doing drugs and smoke. They waste the rest of their lives because they feel as if they can’t live up to anything else. Some of the horror movies we all know and love (there is that word again) started off because of love’s bad half.

The good side about love is the warm, fuzzy feelings inside your body. When you look in their eyes you see nothing, your blind by happiness and love. When you hug them you feel warm and your belly is full of butterflies. When you kiss them you go into another world. I think love does have it’s ups and downs but it usually makes you feel good inside and out.
