One nice frosy evening, we took my granny to my aunt’s house for a surpise birthday party for her and my aunt. As we arrived she saw that there were bunches of cars and wondered why they were there. My mom told her that my uncle had planned the whole party by himself. He called it a centennial surprise because my aunt was turning 40 and my granny was turing 60, so that is 100 years of life. As we walked in everyone shouted, “Hi!” Granny was delighted to see everyone there to be with her. She even got a little sentimental because of the gesture. Towards the end of the night she opened awesome presents from everyone there. As the party ended me and my mom left and had a wonderful night.

Slam! As the door shut close, my mom and I had just walked in the house joyfully. “Mom where’s Ollie?” I asked as I looked outside.
“Go and check in the back,” she answered.
Ollie our jet black cocker spaniel has been in my mom’s life and my life forever. Every day after school I would go and check on to see how he was doing. I walked out and looked for him Nope I can’t see him. “Mooooom I can’t see him!” I shouted.
So my mom looked in a bush where he always laid and saw his jet-black body lying on the floor, motionless. I touched his furry body and no signal “That’s weird he’s not waking up!” I exclaimed. I poked his furry body again and no signal.
“M-mom I think he died,” I said with sorrow.
“You’re right son. I think he did die” as she sobbed. I tried to comfort her by putting my arm on her back but it wasn’t working because she had him since he was a baby baby.
As we walked in to the house blue we called my Granny and Poppy so they could come over. They said they would be there right away. As Granny and Poppy arrived with a shovel I got a Tweety Bird blanket Ollie always slept on Granny and Poppy walked in the house with a shovel and walked outside gloomily and found a little spot to dig. Poppy wrapped him up and buried him. Then we said a prayer and our last goodbyes.
