“Mom are we in Austin yet ?” I asked my mom.”Yes,” she replied.
“Wooh! hoo!” I shouted with excitement.
My mom, my dad, my aunt, my uncle, Austin (my little cousin), and I were in the greenest city in Texas, Austin. We looked for my grandpa’s sister’s house. “Finally we are here!” my uncle gasped. “I feel as week as paper.”
When we got inside the house, it was about five ‘O clock. So we went to bed. Later, that day we woke up, got dressed, and went to the the Texas capital. I was a cheetah when I was getting in the car. Bang! I was so excited that I slammed the door.
When we got to the capital, we went straight in and asked for an informational tour. “Excuse me?” I asked. “May we have a tour?”
“Of course!” the man said.
“These wars on the ground are the ones we’ve lost,” he told us. “Why do you have the wars we lost, instead of the ones we won?” I asked. “That’s how it was made,” he explained. “Oh,” I said.
“Let’s go to the underground level,” he told us. “Cool! There’s an underground level, let’s go!” I shouted.
We took the elevator. “This used to be a basement where people worked, but it was too crowded so we made it into a exhibit.” he explained.
“Are we even underground?” I asked, ” because it doesn’t look like it.” Then I realized that the ground was slanted. “Never mind,” I told them.
There wasn’t that much history down there so we went to the exhibits instead. They had a lot of pictures of our governers from the past. They also showed the weapons that the soldiers in the Civil War used. I forgot what they were called, but most of them were swords.
Well, that was the end of the wicked white Capital of Texas. If you like Texas history, you might love the capital!
