My life’s story!
I was born at a local Hospital in October. One week after I was born my Dad dropped me by accident. It all started when I wouldn’t let my parents put me down. My mom wanted to brush her teeth so she asked my sleeping dad if he would hold me. He murmured sleepily, “Yah!, sure!” So she she slowly placed my sleeping body in his arm. My mom had no idea how tired he actually was! As she started to brush her teeth she heard a “THUD!” She ran out of the bathroom to see me on the floor.
As she scolded my dad, I sat on the bed wondering what had just happened. A week after that, I ended up in the emergency room with a 102% fever. That fall evening, my mom was sitting in the rocking chair holding me. ” Hmm!” she said as she felt my forehead. “You feel warm!” So she called the doctor. When she took it with a different thermometer it said 102. So they rushed me to the hospital! When they finally took us to a room they told my mom to wait outside while they ran tests on me. In the end they decided to admit me so they could make sure it wasn’t meningitis. We finally we went home.
Right now I am 10 years old and in the 5th grade. I like to do Ballet and Girl Scouts as hobbies. In my family I have my mom who is a teacher, my dad who is a state trooper, my brother Christopher who is 7 years old (and obviously doesn’t have a job ), but is in the 2nd grade and does Karate, 2 hermit crabs. Shamu is Christopher’s and spike who happens to be mine, 2 fire bellied toads named King Ribbit and Roo, 1 beta fish named Baloo, and 8 turtles…Strawberry, Mississippi…(Wow! This is a lot of turtles!)…Sunshine, Snoopy, Mothra, Skippy, California, and Blueberry.
Some things that infuriate me are being called names, and being brought into things and getting in trouble when I didn’t do anything.

How come your mom gave you to your dad if he was half asleep ? I mean why didn’t she put you in your crib. Instead of giving you to your dad .
sincerely Jacob

I bet your mom and dad had a great big scare when they had to rush you to the hospital! I had a similar experience with Rafa when he was a couple of months old. He was running a fever and couldn’t keep anything in his stomach. I rushed him to the hospital too where he stayed overnight. Luckily, it turned out to be a 24 hour virus.
What about all those pets you have? What in the world are fire bellied toads? Does it take a long time to feed them and clean up after them?

Ahhh…Jacob I didn’t put her down in her crib because anytime we laid her down she screamed like a banshee! I was stressed, and tired, and all I wanted to do was brush my teeth! I thought he was awake after I asked him…after all, he said “Yeah, sure”…until I heard the THUD! That was a very scary moment for me! Thankfully she was alright!
