My broken thumb
On Sunday night after i finished my dinner I went out side by my self to jump on the trampoline. But I got on and instead of jumping i kneeled down and did some Russian kicks. When I did this I lost my balance and fell over on to my thumb, at that moment I heard avery loud “POP.” I ran inside and got an ice pack out of the freezer and then I started to cry.
My Mom asked me, “What’s wrong Angel?”
“Mommy my thumb hurts.”
Then we started to watch it carefully and then it swelled up to the size of a peach. My Mom put me into the car and drove me to the hospital down the street . They gave me hidoquodone and It made me so tired. They took an x-ray and then I waited 2 hours before the doctor came and took my Mom aside so it wouldn’t scare me and said, “She did break it .So we are going to give her a temporary cast and we are giving her a sling for her own comfort.” So they gave it to me and then they discharged me at 10:00 PM.
On Monday my mom took me out early so I could go to the doctor and we waited for 3 hours and then he sprayed me with this cold frozen stuff and then gave me a bee sting and then he straightened it and then he put my cast on. It is very hard and very purple. I have to wear it for 3 weeks, which means I have to wear it for my Ballet recital, and my trip , but the good news is that I get to have all my cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Parents, brother, Grandparents, and my best friend Naomi sign it.

I thought you did an excellent job writing about this experience. Although I was surprised when you wrote that the doctor gave you a bee sting. Here, I thought all doctors were human!

Carrie sorry if i spelled your name wrong but I know how you feel because i had to go to the hospital to.Well I was was taking out the trash and there was a 1 inch thick piece of glass sticking out of the bag.And ofcourse Iwas being lazy and was draging the trash on the ground and pulled it in front of me and when that happendIcut my self really bad and was crying like a baby .So my dad ran to me and picked me up off the ground wiping me off and looking at my cut .My mom saw the cut and said we had to go to the emergency room because it was open pretty wide .So when we got to the hospital we waited for about a minute and they called us in to look at the cut on my leg and said that it was going to requier staples. So they came back with three big shots and you know what they did with them they stuck them right in the middle of my cut and I started crying .After the shots came staples exept i couldent feel a thing because my leg was so numb that it felt like someone was poking me just like a real quick thud or tap on my leg.Exept when ever i looked the cut well check that I could not look at the cut because it was so bad .Then a couple of minute’s latter they lifted me out of the bed and walked me to the waiting room so you could pay the fee that you owed .So we waited about 20 minute’s and they called us to go to the back and pay what we owedand when they asked for a name ,type, and a phone number my parent’s put in my name and for type you know what they put they put in blacksikin for what type I am.after that we went home at about 1:00 oclock in the morning tierd and exasted. so we went to bed and about 3 weeks later Iwent to my doctor to get the staples removedit didn’t hurt it just stinged a little but not alot because of the tool he used.he put it under the staple and closed it as fast and as hard as he could so it wouldn’t hurt that much exept Istill had to were the bandage and the worst part is that I couldn’t go swiming I couldn’t play or even take a shower for ten minutes .But after a moth or two everything was back to normal.Again Iam very sorry if I spelled your name wrong goodnight .
