Politic Blood Bath…
Okay, now I know the title might have creeped you out a little bit but It’s true! Democratic and Republican. Wow. Now anyway, there is Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. I am a Democrat. Now, I feel I am a tad bit young to be saying this but, I think that If I were in a situation like this, I wouldn’t vote. Because I know I am Democrat, but I am also not fond of Obama. I don’t think that he has enough experience. He is only 42 or 43. The following facts are from he internet. Obama is trying to make a better health plan then McCain. And I think that I liked Hillary. I am kind of sad that she wasn’t chosen to be Obama’s “Vice President.” And I know that all of the kids say, “Aww, Hillary is gonna take our video games!” You know what I say to that? I say, Video games aren’t your life. You don’t need them daily. They aren’t food or water; They are just simple video games. Sadly, she is not running anymore and we are tongue-tied in this situation. Or I am…

“Okay, mama quit worrying yourself, I will take out the trash!” A distant voice sounded from the back room. Amae Louve was the oldest kid in the family. She had two brothers, each of them about five years old.
Those boys had no discipline. They had no care for people and the things around them. They were both twins. Their names were Benjamin and Brian. Amae liked to call Benjamin Brittany and Brian Brianna. Those two thought they were a riot.
Amae sprinted down the spiral staircase when, CRASH! “Mama! They broke something!!!”
Amae could hear the faint whisper of her mothers voice. Oh goodness gracious.” Her mother power-walked down the staircase holding up her dress so she wouldn’t slip and holding on to the rail of the stainless-steel bar to the spiral staircase. She walked through the corridor and swung open the kitchen door to find her favorite Van Gough painting on the floor: “Starry Night”
Amae followed behind noticing her mama bent on her knees looking at her now ruined painting. “You horrid boys! Go up to your room now!”
The next day Amae woke up underneath her covers, a peep of light shining through her window curtains. She noticed she felt like a giant icicle, toes tingleing as if licked by a cat tounge, Back throbbing like a train hit her, and nose as red as a ripe apple. It was mid December there in France and all a girl could ask for was a sun-shiny day, with flowers and baby birds, but no, It always has to snow. “What a shocker. 12 years old and all I can ask for is a little bit of sunshine.”
She jumped out of bed trying to put a smile on her face to please her mom. She smelled eggs grilling on the pan. Was that pancakes? She hardly ever got pancakes. She sighed, but walked in the kitchen with a smile.
“Hi mama! Good morning! I am ready to eat those delicious pancakes you made!” Amae said happily.
“Good morning sweetie! I got you a new coat for school because I know that you had that other one and I thought you might want a new one!” Her mama said dearingly.
“Thank you mama! I appreciate that!” Amae said. She hoped the flight of stairs, skipping one or two at a time, into her room she walked. She loved the fluffy rug and new bed spread her mother put in there. She looked in her closet and picked out a red and grey plaid skirt with a matching shirt that had a broken heart on it and in a banner around it said this: Love is a foreign word. She thought that was true. She had some bad experiences.
She walked into her bathroom and brushed her knee-length hair. She sighed. “No friends, no bother, hopefully today will be the day! I mean, it’s only the first day of school.” She chirped. Any living soul could tell that she didn’t mean to say it that way.
Amae looked both ways before she crossed the street to go to school and when she got there, no one knew her name except the teachers. she took a deep sigh and sat at her assigned seat. she grumbled something under her breath no one else could hear. She was looking in the distance of someone. Someone she hoped she could be friends with.
Her name was Shawna. She had long blond hair and was a tad bit preppy. Amae was punk and emo.But it didn’t matter. An hour or so passed and then the bell rang—RINNNNGGGGG!!—excuse me but I was in the middle of a story, An excellent story, witch is why you should keep reading. anyway, the bell rang for P.E. and everyone gathered their things and went to the boys or girls locker room. Everyone came out with gold shorts and purple tank tops, the school colors.
While they were running track, Amae jogged up to Shawna and asked if she wanted to be friends. A day passed and Amae realized Shawna didn’t like doing anything all that fast so she was always asking why. Never an answer. It’s okay though she said to me. Everyone on the whole school called Shawna ocds for obsessive cumpulsive dissorder Shawna.
The next day at lunch, Amae got a carton of milk and immediately started chugging her milk. Shawna looked at her like she was crazy.
“OHH MY WRIST!!” Amae herd a girl scream in pain.
Amae ran through the packed hallways and saw a crowd around this young girl. on her back clutching her wrist tightly. Amae looked around and saw a dark figure run as fast as possible!!! She followed quickly and silently. She ran through the wine collored corradors and through the cherry red doors. The dark figure leaped in to the boys bathroom and stayed in there for about 15 minutes until Amae walked in nervously. Come on dude! Get out of there! Your wasting my lunch time. Amae said sarcasticly.
She found him by the back sink. She grabbed him by the wrist and said that she has had it with all the crime in the school. She turned him in to the office and ran back to the caffiteria and yelled, “He’s been expelled!”
Everyone cheered. That one thing, made Amae the most loved girl in the school. She had so many friends, you wouldn’t beleive it! And I am happy to be her friend, too.
A note from, Shawna Denigrassical.

It was a cold winter morning, and I have just about had it with my cold toes, red nose and aching back, so I decided to stumble downstairs and grab myself a mug of hot chamomile tea. It was already twelve o’clock. I could not believe I had slept in so late! I looked out the kitchen window. My knees felt so weak I could hardly stand up, and hey, what a surprise. It had snowed once more here. I sighed. Hello, my name is Sandy Wilson and I am a little girl, about twelve years old in the sixth grade. I am alone in the house right now and I am completely bored out of my mind. I sat down on the couch about to turn on the television when I saw a monarch butterfly. “The first sign of spring!” I sang. I sprang of the couch and ran out-side as fast as my bony legs could take me. All the way to the end of the block I chased that butterfly and I realized that as the days grew, the more snow would melt. The next day, I lie in bed until I get the energy to get up and I then get dressed, putting on my light sweater and scarf and ran outside. I noted a few butterflies I saw and Here is what I wrote for the monarch butterfly;
Monarch Butterfly,
A beautiful creature. Like all other butterflies this one migrates to the south for winter time and has the most beautiful wings of all butterflies. Sometimes called “The Milkweed Butterfly” because that is what it’s larvae eats. In fact, milk weed is the only thing larva can eat. The larvae feed on the plant leaves for about two weeks and develop into caterpillars about two inches long.
Monarch Butterfly.
She got this from a website, but wrote it in her journal just so she could memorize it. A month passed. To me, It didn’t feel like a month, it felt like only five days. Sandy walked to the meadow her father legally owned. It was spring by now and it felt like all the butterflies in the world came to visit me for all the studying they could handle. I took a peach out of my pocket and started nibbling on it’s thin skin. The juice trickled down my left hand. I would tell you the truth, But I don’t want to lie. I am left handed. So, I ain’t all that skilled with my right hand. I went to school a Sun Bridge Middle. We are still on our Christmas break even though it ain’t winter anymore. I’m glad. I can sit under my maple tree and study all the butterflies that land by my side. I saw me a purple emperor the other day. You know those are rare? and I know how to say that in Deutsch! GroBer Schillerfalter. That is purple emperor. I love to study butterflies. It is one of my passions. I woke up the next day so tired I could hardly move. I could see all of the butterfly posters on my wall The last thing I remember was falling asleep watching a butterfly crawl on me. Now I know my life will be better for seven more years. I am Sandy Wilson.

Okay, now I know this is going to sound a little strange, but today, Me, my mom, my foreign exchange student, and my grandma went to Hong Kong III the buffet to celebrate me being student council (barely) and I walked up to the sushi bar and saw that the guy behind the counter was cutting up…OCTOPUS!! I saw it and I asked, “Will it cost if I try some?” and he said no and handed me a slice, but before I could put the octopus in my mouth, he said that it tasted better with soy sauce. So I got a plate and spread soy sauce on it and stuck it in my mouth. And it actually tasted king of good! The only thing I didn’t like was the way it was all chewy. The rest was delicious and I just loved it! Okay, the people that are reading it, you are probably vomiting your guts out and I don’t care! I am the daring one with foods in the family. (Except stuff that’s brown and gushy, like hummus) Well, I am planning my moms Halloween birthday party and possibly my Halloween party! Cross your fingers for me! Got to go! Good night and or good afternoon, or good morning. (Whatever time zone you are in!)

Okay now this is why I called it that, I think I have some similarities of a vampire. I like REALY hot showers, I can’t sleep at night and sometimes it feels as if I can’t die unless you struck me with a stake. (A piece of wood pointed at the end). I want to read the series Twilight, but I don’t know if my mom will let me. Honest, I don’t have a taste for blood though. If you read my Bio poem, you would know why. I like to be alone in my room. And I can’t stand high-pitched voices. Those are my similarities of a vamp.

*Sighs deeply*. I really wish I had the life I used to have. I know that I am a little young to be saying that, but, My mom and I used to have, well, more money than we do now. We used to always go to for example, the mall like what, every Thursday? I used to have extreemly long hair, and I chose to cut it off. And I used to be friends with my worst enemy. I went to the Y and my mom said that place made me well, not me. She says I used to be outgoing and not shy at all, and yet, Here I am typing on a computer when I wish I had more friends than I do now. See, here’s where the shyness comes in, I am to shy to go out there and make friends. I know this is a pretty sad post but it’s true. A blog is like an online journal. Now, what if you were in the position where you felt as if you blushed every time you passed by your best friends??? Okay, well lets look on the positive side, I have three really great friends, named Martha, Olivia, And Karen, Oh, one more, the person I am student council with, Sarai. See, they are all verry nice people. Where I am going this upcoming summer, I am going to Europe. I can make some really pretty jewelery and I am a verry good salesmen! Wow, I have a lot of positive things about me… I will write about them. Not now though, I have a thing afterschool and recess right now so I will “talk” to you later! (Like tonight maybe)

Thank you to all of the people that voted for me. My goals as Student Council Representative are to not only keep Edgemere safe, but the community safe. We are talking about all of the problems the school has had lately, like the playground for instance. The students of 4-3 should set up a campaign for fire safety at Edgemere Elementary.
About the Recycling matter, when we were in first grade, we used to have a recycling bin in the classrooms and the student council members would come and pick them up every, I think week. We should start it up again. We should give each classroom a box and have the classroom decorate it.
I will bring up the matter about graffiti to the representatives and the administrators so that we can work together to try to come up with some better solutions because of this horrible matter.
Please feel free to contact me if there are any problems we should handle and any ideas you have. Together we can make this school year excellent! ![]()
Victoria Kawekiu Lunalio Kalanininuiahilapalapa Kaiulani Cleghorn
Okay, now, that sure is a long title, isn’t it?? That is a real woman in history and this is the book that I am reading now. It is actually called Kaiulani in the royal diaries collection. So far what I have read is that she is going away to England for a whole year! She is very sad about leaving Honolulu, Hawaii, But she has to, she has to go to school. I got the book last week and I am on the 60th page already! It is kind of a hard book, but, I think the more challenging the better. So, I really like the royal diaries collection. I read Marie Antoinette last year, And I LOVED it!! I think it’s because she is one of my favorite women in history, but, I don’t know…Okay, Well, that’s all I have gotten to in the book so far, but, I will give you the information after I am done with the book. BYE!!

I would like to be your student council representative because,
I would like to make the school more green and put a recycling trash can in every classroom.
The graffiti in our school is not made for a school, we can make a clean-up campaign for Edgemere with its graffiti.
About the school playground, I think we can have a campaign for fire safety issues.
And I will ask about these things with the faculty representatives.
And finally, if you elect me I will be on time to all of the meetings and I will take them seriously.
And that is why I would like to be your student council representative.
