It is strange that people won’t say what’s on their mind. I guess I’m a guilty of that as much as anyone. Sometimes I think what I have to say won’t be received well, other times I don’t think anyone will care. There are also times when I want to think things through instead of saying something I’ll regret later once I’ve cooled down.

I guess when you’re facing a situation like the one you describe, the best thing is to be patient and give it a little bit of time. Maybe it’s better sometimes to communicate in another way, like leaving a note that lets the person know that you care for them and support them, but to also let them know that you’re feeling left out and would like to know what’s going on.
