Seven years ago in 2001 a group of Muslims decided to come to New York and take down the Twin Towers. The way they did it is they got on the plane and acted like regular people on the plane. As soon as they got a chance they took over the plane and I don’t know how but I do know why, so they could get control and smash into the Twin Towers so they could come crashing down.
Ever since that day people have hated the Muslims and at schools some kids are getting beat up because of what happened on 9-11. At airports if you looked muslim than they took you aside and checked your bags because you LOOKED Muslim. I think that is just rude and mean to do to them because they might not even know what a muslim is because they have never heard of a Muslim before. I hate that they do that to them I mean I would hate it if they did that to me but I would cooperate with them so they don’t think I am a terrorist. But that is the way it is now and until we can have peace.

This is a very intelligent post, and I like how you expressed your opinion. The ironic thing about all this is that because of those attacks, they don’t just check Muslims’ bags, they check everybody’s. I guess that’s smart, because you don’t have to look like a Muslim to be a terrorist, but it does make getting on a plane much more of a hassle. The last time I had a flight, they took away some of my stuff because I forgot you’re supposed to only carry liquids in tiny bottles.

Naomi, you have had an interest in 9-11 since 3rd grade. I remember when you wrote your informational piece on this and how difficult it was to find information at that time. Hard to believe isn’t it? Why do you suppose this one event is so engrained in your mind when you were hardly old enough at the time it occurred to remember it today?
