Remember that a significant comment to a blog should begin with something positive-maybe what you liked, a personal connection, what this makes you think of, etc. However, you haven't taken the time to tell Jesse what you LIKED about his piece before offering constructive criticism. What exactly do you mean by "so what?" "who cares" and "why is it important"? Are you saying the Jesse that as a reader you had difficulty understanding why this story was written? A better way to word this would be... As a reader, I found that I had difficulty understanding how the story affected you. Remember that as a writer, you should try to include a part in your story that explains "So what, why do these events matter to you? Why are these events important to Jesse?".
