She has brown eyes, a nice smile, and is really really into science. I’ve known her for almost three years now. Most of you out there reading this know whom I’m talking about. Sure, we have had arguments, but all of you that have had friends know that all friendships have a screw that falls out some times. But both of you have to work together to put that screw back in the right place. But I will be her friend no matter what. That is why I am writing this story just to let her know that she has always been there for me, and I will always be there for her.

P.S. Thanks Drew!

One day I stepped inside a door that let me into my nightmare. “Grr, mom I’m hungry.”

“Fine we will stop at McDonalds,”she replied.

“Great.” So we drove to McDonalds and we ordered six pieces of chicken nuggets and some hot buffalo sauce. Then we got home and I was eating like a pig. Grabbing chicken then dipping and drinkin coke, I did the process over and over again and again…until I felt my heart stop. I felt like my heart fell out and I dropped to the floor. But instead I said to myself, “Calm down and just go lay down on the couch, it’s not the time to panic.” So I got up and walked slowly toward my couch.

Then I thought NOW IS THE TIME TO PANIC. So I rushed to my  mom and told that I felt like I was going to die, so she and my dad rushed me off to Las Palmas Hospital. They put me in the doctor’s office right as I got there.

I sat down and felt my stomach erupt. I grabbed a bucket and plop came out a whole chicken nugget came out with hot sauce all over it.

“Well I think that was her problem,” the doctor said.

I walked out of the door of the hospital but I also walked out of the door of my nightmare!

Matilda wears plain clothes. She is short, has long hair, she is five years old, and has light brown hair. Matilda is a wonderful and smart student because she knows all of her times tables, and has read all the books in the library. Lavender seems to enjoy to be around Matilda. Matilda is never conceited. She doesn’t talk great about herself and is always sweet. Matilda likes to think about ways to get back at her parents if they are mean to her,  like when she put super glue in Mr. Wormwood’s hat. Mr. Wormwood thinks his daughter thinks Matilda is a spoiled twit. Miss Honey loves and thinks Matilda is smart, because she knows pretty much everything a sixth grader should know.

I closed the book quietly. I looked up  and  I blinked. As I blinked, my eyelashes pushed a tear out of my eye and it rolled down my cheek like a rock rolling down a hill. But it wasn’t a bad tear; it was a tear of joy. Like my teacher says, “Life is like a roller coaster; it has its ups and downs.” I just realized that is true. My life is not always going to be a fairy tale, but I’ll  just have to make the best of it.

One of my favorite memories was my first basketball game. I can remember when I entered the gym - my hands were sweating and my heart was thumping really fast. I turned to the audience, and I could see my mom and dad smiling at me. I walked forward and sat on the bench until the announcer said my number and I got up and went to the court. We started to shoot some hoops until the buzzer went off. I got in my position, and I watched Drew jump for the ball. The other team got the ball, I blocked and blocked people so they wouldn’t be able to pass it or shoot it. I could hear my dad leading me and telling me where to go. I did exactly what he said to do and all of a sudden. . . the ball ended in my hands. I ran and ran and….
The referee blew his whistle saying I had a necklace. I said that I couldn’t take it off, and he let me continue. I took a shot, and I made it! Even though it was 32 them and 2 us it was a great feeling to know that you made it!

One day when I was like two weeks old, I went to go get my ears pierced. My mom wanted me to get my ears pierced when I was little so it wouldn’t hurt as much as when I got older. So my whole family stood up watching me. They sat me on a chair, and marked where they were going to pierce my ears.

My brother back was very nervous, so to see me in pain was very hard for him. You could see him shaking with fear. You could see the gun getting closer and closer to me every second then…”AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” my brother Stephen yelled as loud as a thunder bolt. He was crying so hard that his eyes were puffy. Then all of a sudden BOOM, you could hear a thud on the ground.

Everyone kept their eyes on me, and I guess his crying rubbed of on me so then you could hear two screaming kids all around the world. Then they pierced my ear and then I was twice as loud. My parents tell me this story now that I’m a little older, and I will start to laugh so hard you would fall to the floor. Now that’s what I call a good memory!

One  rainy morning at 5:00, I was woken up by the rain knocking on my window. I didn’t want to just lay in bed all day so I went to the closet and opened the door with a little squeak and I slowly looked around to make sure no one was coming. I slowly grabbed a book that found and I ran all the way back to my room. I looked at it and it said Bryana’s Scrapbook, I opened it and I saw a written story and the name was An Ant Hole, the story went like this…

One time when I was like one, I was walking around my front yard and I could see my parents watching me. I walked around and I felt a drop of sweat running down my face. I could see my cup with water on the table outside. I was a baby so to me it looked like twenty miles away. So I walked around my dads’ car and I plumped down. I turned around and I saw  my  mom and dads eyes as big as plates…”BRYANA ANDREA,” they yelled at the top of their lungs. I was itching so I scratched all over. I looked down and I saw millions of ants crawling on me. I realized I was sitting on an ant hole, I started bawling. My parents ran as fast as lightning they picked me up and brushed me off. They rushed me off into the tub and thank God I was all right .

Ding Dong!!

“Whoever it is I don’t talk to any anymore ,” Mr.Hat said.

“Mr. Hat it’s me Bryana Menudo your new best friend here at the Senior Citizens Palace,” I replied.

“Go away I don’t have any friends anymore! You can only come in if you have a key.”

“I do have a key.”

Click! I opened the door and saw a man on a couch. He wore a long-sleeved,green, checkered shirt with some long, black, sleek pants. His house smelled like beautiful, red, watered roses. He was watching Tiger Woods play golf on the golf channel. He looked around and studied me.

“What did you say your name was again?”

“Well, hello my name is Bryana Menudo and I am assigned to be your friend and take you out.”

“Ummm…I don’t like to go out only to water my roses.”

“Well there is more to life than to just water your roses. Come on we will go out to eat and go to the park.”

Right then and there I held out my hand,he looked at it and studied it. He then looked at it and grabbed on to it. He put his sunglasses and hat on. I opened the door and he smiled. We slowly walked to Maccaroni Grill, an itallian resturant. We went there because he told me he loved itallian food. We both had spaghetti. We were both out of there in about forty-five minutes. We then walked to the park. On our way to the park I stopped by the bakery to buy a loaf of bread. When we reached the park we sat on a bench. I cut the loaf in half and gave a piece to Mr.Hat. We fed the birds. Then it was time to go. We did this routine for about four months. When we got to Mr. Hat’s house he told me something very touching.

“Bryana your my best and only friend thank you for showing me life.”

I smiled and left. The whole day I thought about Mr. Hat. Tomorrow was his birthday. The next day I woke up extra early.

“NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Mom what happened?”

“Honey, Mr.Hat passed away.”

“NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!”

Then I remembered Mr. Hat’s words.

Bryana your my best and only friend, thank you for showing me life!
