The Cay-Reflection

The Cay was a really good book; I thought that it had so many details. There were so many parts in the book where I did not want to stop reading. Once I started it was hard for me to stop. One time I really did not want to stop is when Timothy and Philip are stranded on the raft in the middle of the ocean. If I was Philip I would be scared to death if I were blind on a raft, with a man I do not know , knowing that there is a 50% chance of staying blind and 50% chance of healing, a 50% chance of being saved 50% of not being saved. In the end Tim dies because of his age and a hurricane that had come. Philip buries Tim and is alone with only Stew Cat. Philip later gets rescued by a Navy Destroyer. Philip is reunited with his parents and after three surgeries he can see but he will need glasses. He and his family go back home and decide to stay in Willemstad.

I recommend this book to anyone that likes historical fiction books.

A Big Surprize for the Year

Tuesday morning was a really cold day, it was colder than usual in El Paso. That is not what was the surprise that day, it didn’t happen until almost noon. It was a couple of minutes till noon and I was talking with some one at my table about the assignment that we had and then I looked out the window and to my surprise it was snowing! I was probably the first to see it because every one else was still doing their work when I said aloud with excitement me “It’s snowing”!!!  Right then every one had looked and was about to look outside . Next thing I knew was that mosly everyone was out of their seats  and around the window to look at the snow. It was so weird though because it was not falling straight but sideways. It took a little while for Mrs. Dean to stop the kids and sit them down but I was lucky that  I was in front of the window, after a little while I noticed that the ground was not becomeing white and I knew that when it reached the ground that it melted. After a about an hour the snow stoped falling and the day got boring. I wish ot could have stuck and stayed snowing, but it didn’t. 0

Yesterday was the first time having reading and writing together. I think that was a neat idea to link them together because we get to be ready for next you at middle school. I think yesterday was kind of cool having reading and writing together I think it is a big change but it is a change we need. It is kind of strange that some of the kids from Ms. Martinez’s kids are fallowing my class around and that some of my class is fallowing theirs, why is that? This is a good idea to put the classes together because we are ready for next year.

Mr. Q was alittle forgetfull because the percution didn’t do there solo. Everyone even Mr.Q said we did better than last years band. The oboes mest up a few times but I think we all did a little. After the consert all the people that I knew were saying “Oh I saw you playing in the concert in the front row, you were really good” Then I felt even better. We played three sons 1. What if the Sun Went Out ?

In Mrs. Martinez’s class we were learning about natural resources. We had to make a poster on our resource that we choose and then present them to the class. We graded them the way that we grade the stories in your class with the 1 2 3 or 4.

If the sun went out all the trees and plants would die because they don’t have sun light they can’t make food for them self’s. If all the plants and trees died all the plant eaters won’t have plants to eat, and if they don’t have plants to eat then they will die and if they die all the carnivores won’t have meat to eat. So if the sun went out the hole world would die. The sun is very important to all life on earth.

Happy new year!!! In many places for new years people do different things. My family stays up till midnight and even later. Right when it strikes midnight we eat twelve grapes for the twelve months of the year. For every grape we had to make a wish or a commitment but most of us didn’t but I did. Have a good school year And a good year!!!!!

Water Pollution is bad for animals

Many companies have been polluting water for a while. Some have stopped but if we don’t get them all to stop then then most of the ocean population will will or may not lower. Aquatic life has been trapped in places. Some have to help out of the places and be transported to aquariums to be treated until they are better and can be released into the wild. If they are babies they wait till they are older and show signs that they can survive on their own.

“It’s the week of Christmas every one, so get your gifts ready to be handed out. Here are some tunes to listen to” the radio man said. “Tis the season to be Joly. Fa la la la la la,

Strike the harp and join the chorus Fa la la la la la la la …” It was three days before Christmas and I was spending most of it with my twerpy brother that always stole all my gifts and says they are his! This was going to be the worst Christmas ever but this year he was nice to me. At wrestling he was careful not to hurt me but Louie, my coach, said it as weard so when we left he told me never to let him do that.

It feels like christmas!!

Before I never saw that many Christmas lights around, but now mostly every were I look houses are so bright because of them. Some houses have activity scenes in the front yards of houses. Many of the stores get really packed some days. More and more talk of gifts when that is not what Christmas is really about. It is really about the birth of Jesus Christ and being with your family. The weather is constantly changing weather it is eather cold or it is hot in El Paso. You have no idea to dring a jacket or not. To me this feels like Christmas

Life is Precious

Life is something not to be taken for granted

It can be easily given or taken a way like nothing at all

So, life is something to be treasured

So many people don’t care for themselves and say “I wish I was never born “and “I wish I was dead”

But, you better be careful about what you wish for because it might happen

I have recently been told “I wish you were dead” and “I wish you were never born” by my brother

There are so, so, so, so, many ways that life can be taken away but one to give it

Life is a gift from God

So cherish that gift for all eternity for that gift is precious.
