Snow!!!
If you noticed yesterday it was snowing! I was in Ms. Wards class when some of the kids in my class whispered that it was snowing. Everyone was looking at the window by Ms. Ward’s desk to see the snow. I wanted to see too, but we weren’t allowed to get out of our seats. Then I remembered there was a window by where I sat too. I looked, and it WAS SNOWING! I was really exited to go to lunch and go out side, when they said that there was a “rainy day schedule.” I thought that wasn’t fair at all. In the cafeteria, everyone was watching the snow flakes drifting around. Then we had to go back to class. I really wished there would still be snow when we got out of school, but who was I kidding. It never, ever stays in El Paso.
Super Bowl Sunday
For the Super bowl the Steelers went against the Cardinals I was going for the Steelers, and my mom was going for the Cardinals. I was going for the Steelers because they were the best team this year. We went to my Uncle’s house for the game. It was fun because almost my whole family was there. Most of the boys in my family went to the park nearby my uncle’s and played a game of football themselves. While they were playing, I was with one of my cousin’s Selena (the same one that had that incident with the treadmill). We played tag, video games, and catch. To end the day of we watched the football game, and the Steelers won!
what I like about reading and writing in one class.
I like it because we don’t have to worry about the time we while switching classes. We just keep on going from reading to writing in our journal. We are practicing writing while we are doing reading at the same time. What I mean by reading at the same time is we write the questions that we could give about the book we are reading. There is a deeper connection between reading and writing because we focus everything on the book we are reading”The Trading Game“. We also do DOL which we do everyday and it helps us with language arts. I also like it because the book we are reading is cool. I don’t like it because it gets boring siting in one class for two hours. When we read we its OK but then we go from reading, to writing in our journals, and so on and it gets boring not being able to switch classes. But for the most part, I like it!
Band Concert

The band concert was really fun! We had to practice for a long time. Mr.Quintilla was really strict about how it sounded. For this song Jingle Bell Jam we practiced a lot, I played the Snare Drum
and I had a lot of fun!!! Sometimes it got confusing when someone was missing something or forgot a part of the music. Out of the whole thing, I really liked it; we even sounded good!
New Schedule
The order of classes changed. Now instead of going to Ms. Torres first we go to Ms. Ward first. Instead of going to Ms. Baker’s class for reading, we stay at Ms. Ward for both reading and writing. I like the new schedule because it’s less classes. I also like it because the first class is two hours long and the last two classes are only an hour long (each). Before the long weekend we had Ms.Torres for the first class, then Ms.Ward for the second, then lunch, Ms.Baker, the last class we had was Ms. Martinez our home room teacher, but for science. Now we have Ms. Ward first, lunch, Ms.Torres second, Ms. Martinez last. I like having the two classes combined! I think it will be better having them combined. Its good because now in the morning the teachers don’t have as bunch trouble getting the students switched. The first day was confusing, but now I know the order of classes well.
El Paso on T.V!!!
Extreme makeover is a show on T.V. On that show they tear your house and make a huge new one. To pick the house they interview five people and then pick one house to fix. THIS TIME THE HOUSE IS HEAR IN EL PASO
!!! Yesterday my dad took me to see the house. It looked funny(after they blew it up) because it was just a big area fill of dirt. We couldn’t get up close cause the police blocked it. The place was lit up completely. It was so lit up, I was thinking it looked like it was still day time and it was already about 8:30.
What If The Sun Disappeared?
If the sun were to disappear it would be a total disaster! Without the sun we would all die. All the plants need the suns energy to live, without plants we probably wouldn’t be able to live. We need plants to breath, eat, and more… The sun also provides us more things too, like solar energy. With solar energy there are many ways to us it. For ex: We use solar energy to make electricity. with electricity we could turn on light and other stuff that uses energy. We also use the sun to make us warm, when its cold. The sun gives us light, without the sun there would be no reflection on the moon to give us light in the night. Without it would probably by pitch black, It would probably be cold too.
Recycling
Recycling to me means-to use over again. I go for recycling. I go for recycling because if we don’t soon enough we will run out of things. For example: people are cutting down trees for paper, houses or buildings, and other stuff made from wood. And after people use it, they just throw it away without ever using it again. What if we run out of trees, what are we going to do then? We use trees to breath, make stuff, like wood and paper. We can’t survive without air so WE NEED TO RECYCLE!
Global Warming
Global warming is happening and we have to do something to stop it. I think we need to Stop Global Warming! Some ways we can stop global warming is by: using cars less, using cars that run on water and not gas. We can also recycle, if we recycle we wont need to cut down so much trees. We need trees to breath. Even if you use something other than cars that runs on gas, it is still damages the earth and causes more global warming. When global warming happens, its melting ice and different places in the world. Polar bears, penguins, and other animals that live in Arctic areas, are dyeing because their homes are being destroyed.
