Listen to this story

Thunder storms, thunder storms, thunder storms, oh how they are so scary. But I’m about to tell you right now about the day I will never forget, September 10, 2007. But let’s cut the chit-chat and get back to my story, shall we?

So there I was doing my homework when … RUMBLE-RUMBLE-ROAR! The thunder yelled at me.

Drip-Drop-Drip-Drop-Drip-Drop. The rain got faster as my heart pounded, my bones crackled, and my teeth chattered.

CRACKLE-CRACKLE-BOOM!

“Dad,” I said, ” Are the lights going to go out?”

“I’m not sure,” he replied. So we just looked around the house and through the cupboards and gathered up some candles.

Just then, a flash of lightning lit up the whole house. ” D-D-Daddy!” I screamed, as I ran up and jumped on him.

”What the heck, Stephanie, calm down, it’s only a little bit of rain, lightning, and thunder.”

“Okay,” I replied. So I sat down with him and watched TV with him.

In about 15 or 20 minutes the storm was over and I had went back to doing my homework when… ”ROAR!!”

”Dad, is the storm over, cause I thought it was?” I said, my voice fast and furious.

“It’s just the movie - a lion roared.”

”Oh, Okay,” I said back. From that day on I’ll never forget that day, the scariest day of my 9 year old life.
