The Jalapeno

October 10th, 2008

It was a fresh summer morning, and the sun was barely rising. I had just gotten up and went into the kitchen when I saw my dad eating breakfast and some green thing. I went up to him and asked what the green thing was.

“A jalapeno,” my dad answered.

“What’s a jalapeno?” I questioned him.

He said, “It’s a spicy vegetable.”

“Can I have some?” I asked.

“Yeah here.” he answered while giving me a jalapeno.

I took a huge bite out of the jalapeno. Then my mouth started to burn, my eyes turned red, and my face looked like it was going to blow. I started racing across the room making that panting noise when something tastes spicy. I started drinking lots and lots of water. I drank a whole gallons worth of water that day. I didn’t have another jalapeno until I was 7.

Fourth Grade

June 3rd, 2008

Fourth grade has been a awesome experience. Because I was introduced to blogs and because I got to learn things I’ve never known. Like multiplying two digit by two digit numbers (70×80=5,600). And another reason I enjoyed fourth grade is because I started reading 8th grade books. And the last reason I liked fourth grade was because Mrs. Hulburt played around while she was teaching, but she still taught us good. Those are the reasons why I love fourth grade.

The Runaway

May 6th, 2008

Shika! Shika! Shika! I heard the gate rattle while I was in my bed. I quickly raced to my brothers room and shook my brother awake and told him about the noise I heard. Then my brother and I ran outside and went to the gate to the backyard.

“Choby!” My brother and I hollered through the bars to my dog. Nothing moved.

“I think he ran… away,” my brother said in a shaky voice.

“We have to go and tell Dad.” I said.

So we quickly ran back in the house to tell my dad. After we woke him up and told him about Choby, my dad, brother, and I ran into our car and drove off looking for Choby. We looked all over the block crying, “Choby!” every second.

But we had no luck. We had been driving for an hour around our block! We decided to return to the house and continue the search tomorrow. But just as we were going back are luck turned. We suddenly saw a wight elated dog running as fast as lightning on the sidewalk. We all quickly yelled at the same time, “Choby!” Then Choby turned around and started running towards us. My dad quickly braked and the dog came crashing into the car. We then opened the door and pulled the bulldog inside the car.

All four of us drove back to the house, but instead of putting Choby in the backyard we put him inside the house. My dad, brother, and I learned a lesson and that’s to never leave Choby in the backyard.

Protect the Environment!

May 6th, 2008

If you want polar bears and penguins species to roam. Then I’d suggest you treat the environment the way it should be treated and GO GREEN! Ways you can meet the environments needs is by: NOT buying plastic water bottles, don’t use the styrofoam boxes they give you at restaurants, and never litter. If you follow these rules I guarantee polar bears and penguins will stay alive.

The End of the Weather Machine

April 11th, 2008

It was a breezy afternoon. School had just finished. I raced to get the weather machine. Then I saw my brother right where I hid the weather machine. I took no time in running over there. We both grabbed it at the same time.

“Let go!” I told him.

“Never,” he said back.

So I yanked at the weather machine and got hold of the whole thing and I ran, my brother on my tail. Then my brother pushed me and I flew to the floor. My brother quickly caught it before it hit the ground and ran off. I quickly got up and ran after my brother.

I caught up to him and pushed him. Then I yelled, “That’s what you get.” But I forgot to catch the weather machine then I heard a big CRASH!

I turned around and saw pieces of the weather machine scattered everywhere.

“What did you do?” my brother yelled at me.”

“I didn’t mean to,” I said back.

That was the end of the weather machine.

Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong!

The Weather Machine Continues!

March 20th, 2008

It was a dreadful day. I had a runny nose, my head ached, and I was late for school. But I had a weather machine waiting for me under my bed.

When I got home from school I raced to my room. But little did I know my brother knew about weather machine and that he wanted revenge for what I did to him in my last story.

I ran into my room and checked for the weather machine. But I couldn’t find it. “Where did I leave it?” I said to myself. Then all of the sudden I saw my brother racing across the hall with a grin on his face. “Hey Cris, looking for this?” my brother said waving the weather machine. “Hey, give me that back!” I yelled at my brother. “You’ll have to take it from me,” my brother said to me while running away.

I quickly fired after him. But I didn’t know where he was. So I thought he was outside. But little did I know I made a big mistake. So I opened the door to outside and raced outside. Then my brother shut the door and locked it. It ended up he hid somewhere inside the house.

Then I saw a mischievous smile on my brother’s face. Then I saw his finger going to press the button snow/blizzard. “No, you wouldn’t dare,” I said. “Oh yeah, watch me,” he said back. Then he pressed the button. There was a blinding light like staring at the sun. then a blizzard started.”C.Co..Col…COLD!” I hollered. I ran to the backyard and opened the back door. I was furious and very cold. I saw my brother standing next to his room I bolted toward him. Then I grabbed the weather machine. My brother got revenge, but I’m going to be the one to get revenge next. What should I do to him?

Grandpa

March 6th, 2008

August fifteenth, two thousand one, that was the worse day of my life. Ri!Er!Ri!Er! I heard the ambulance go by with my grandpa’s car behind it. My grandpa always picks me up on Tuesdays and Thursdays from my moms house. Then my dad popped out of the car. “Where is grandpa?” My brother and I asked my dad. My dad didn’t answer. “Something is wrong here,” I said to myself. So we hopped in the car and began the long journey to my grandpa’s house. “Why are the ambulance in front of grandpa’s house?” I asked my dad. No words came out of his mouth the only thing moving was a teer coming down his cheek. ” Why isn’t he answering me?” I questioned myself. I plunged out of the car. I fought my way through the cops and doctors to get inside the house. It was so silent it was like it was a graveyard in the house. I silently walked through the halls. I walked into my grandpa’s room and saw my grandpa on the bed and a doctor standing next to the bed. My grandpa was hardly even moving. “What is wrong with him?!?!” I blurted out loud to the doctor. “He has cancer.” The doctor said in a calm voice. “I love you Cris.” My grandpa moaned as if in pain. Then he stopped breathing, his heart stopped beating, and he stopped moving. “Grandpa! Grandpa! You can’t leave me, don’t die!” I yelled while teers came running down my eyes. Just then I had a flash back on when he taught me my abcs “Say a.” he would say. “Ale,” I would say back. And the time he taught me to read and wright. “Wright car.” My grandpa would tell me.Then I would wright something along the lines of collilock. “What’s this word?” My grandpa would ask me pointing at the word cat. “car!” I would say back. My grandpa was more than a grandpa he was a best friend. A friend that will remain in my heart forever.
