Two weeks down.

I am glad the first 2 weeks of school are over. I have a hard time getting through the first couple of weeks every year. I think it is because there are so many rituals and routines, procedures and rules, and names to learn. I must admit one thing, I really like all my classes and know it is going to be another great year. I love teaching and I can’t wait to get down to doing just that. Now that we have all had a chance to get used to returning to school, I hope you are all ready to learn. I sure am ready to teach!

How do you feel about 5th grade so far? Do you like switching classes? What is one goal you would like to reach this school year?

  1. Yeah! You finally posted! Let’s see…can I answer your question from a parental perspective? We LOVE 5th grade! My girl likes switching classes, but it does make her tired by the end of the day. I can honestly say that I like them switching as well because I know that the kids are getting the best of each teacher. 5th Grade is AWESOME!

  2. I can relate to your comment about learning names. I’m awful with learning names and even ones I know will sometimes slip. It always took about a week for me to learn the names of a class of 20. I can’t imagine trying to learn the names of 4 classes of students! It’s going to be an interesting experiment to see how many names I’m going to learn this year.
