Wow! I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed right about now! As the school year approaches, I feel as though I’m swimming around in circles in a deep, deep, pool. I still have my head above water…barely. Floating all around me are the things I need to complete or just learn before the year starts.

  • Thankfully, my last class for alternative certification was last night, so I have two more free evenings.
  • I attended the ETA training, but feel that I’m losing everything I learned especially when it comes to iMovie, iPhoto, etc. By the way, what is Podcasting?!?!?
  • The Marilyn Burns week-long math workshop was great…but how do we implement it with Sharon Wells? Will there even be Sharon Wells?
  • My books are tagged for my classroom library, but I’ve yet to set the library up.
  • I’m getting a handle on Schoolcenter; however, I managed to make a change and apply it…to all my pages!
  • I am almost finished with the 30-hour GT Core training, and that’s only raised several more questions and issues…mainly time constraints.

I’m learning about: Moodle, Wikis, Wordpress, Schoolcenter, Connected Tech…and the list goes on and on!

Then once the year starts, there is:

  • Sharon Wells math training (maybe)
  • Readers’ and Writers’ Workshops training
  • Internship documentation and observations by the ACT-NOW staff

Then I tell myself, “STOP! Take a breath! Get a cup of coffee and go sit down with your crocheting!”
